The Runners’ Post (also for other volunteers)

Saturday, September 13th, 2008

Hi Gang.
Yes, this is it.  This is the blog about the special that I’m running for runners, and a few other organizations of people who help people.
If you haven’t seen the postcard style gift certificates, yet, just let me know which organization you’re affiliated with, when you come into the office, for your free half hour massage.  This is my little way of doing some good for the community, because as I see it, if I’m helping those who help our community, they’ll go back to their volunteer tasks recharged and better able to help others.
These half hour massages can be upgraded to a full hour for only $35.
Please read my other blogs in order to find out about and take me up on other offers, even if it’s on a subsequent massage.
Well, Today I’ll be dancing at Relay for Life, here in Petaluma, on the Casa Grande High Track and Field.  I hope that we’ll have a huge turn out, as I will be bringing a giant handful of my discount massage coupons, to give out when I’m done dancing.
I also hope that my newer readers will check out some of my links, because a lot of them are links that will bring up community calendar type sites so that you can see what other fun stuff is going on in the community.
My husband also has a great site for Chess Players, and those wanting to learn.  It’s called: WWW.Chessmagnetschool.com
NASA has recruited my husband to create a site on which people can play chess against a live astronaut who is actually living and working on a space station.  I’ll blog about it when it’s working.  School children will come up w/ a few choices of moves to play against the astronaut, and grown-ups logging on can pick one of those moves to play.  The most popular move will be the one played against the astronaut who will see it on-line when he has a free moment, and play a counter move.
My husband aslo created the chess puzzle that you will find in the NY Times Mag.
I will give a 10% discount on an hr. massage to anyone who can learn anything about my husband’s career (past or present) that isn’t in this blog.
Happy playing, readers.
Sue of Suzanne’s Hands.
