Take It From Me…….

Saturday, December 1st, 2007

This week-end finds your friendly neighborhood CMT taking it from a professional, regarding the how-tos of marketing.  Even I turn to the experts, for advice on such angst producing matters which seem to be always too closely for comfort, tied into the corporate world.
My coach’s name is Judy Baker.  She owns a business called Completely Creative, and you can email her at: success@creative1.com or Phone: 707.938.2586
I want to be careful, here, to not give away any secrets that might put her out of work.  I will tell you that our talk was inspiring, and produced real results even before I enrolled in one of her regular classes.  My free phone consultation with her had me thinking outside the box, Today, and puttig my business paraphanelia in places where it had never been before, and introducing myself to people that I’d never thought would want to hear from me.  You know what?  They wanted to hear from me!
I fully intend to enroll in Judy Baker’s class, just as soon as I can, and I hope that those of you who read my blogs will do so, too, for the sake of growing your business.
I met Judy through the Connections Organization.  If you want to grow your business, I can’t say enough about that organization or about the benefit of joining up with one or two organizations, in general.  If you don’t talk, no one will hear you.  If you don’t stand up, no one will see you.  I’ve learned that the only way to have a clientelle base, is to be seen and heard…………..a lot.
If they don’t know you exist, they won’t come.
Judy Baker’s advice gets even more specific than mine, and she provides a different sort of service than I do.  She gets people together in her classes and has them brainstorm for eachother, to come up with methods of marketing their own services/businesses.  She also helps each business person to come up with realistic goals, and an understanding of what’s keeping them from reaching their goals, and what will help them to overcome those obstacles.
Please contact me, if you would like to know more about Judy Baker and what she does.  I will be featuring other helpful contacts in future blogs.
Take it from me, the more people you meet, the better your chances of being successful, in this world.  It’s not how much you know, but who you know.
So don’t just sit there; get out and get to know people.  That’s what I was doing, Today, and I’m sure that my business will grow by at least half, with-in the next 3 months, as a result.  The reason that I’m guess-timating cautiously, is because I’ve been told by another authority in the same sort of work as Judy Baker, that you have to introduce yourself to someone between 5 and 10 times, before they will finally take note and decide that they have a use for your product or service, so I’m translating that to mean that I may get a client or two, from one of the 4 or 5 people/places that I visited, Today………….That’s one or two more people than I knew Yesterday.
I’ll let you know how it goes.  Maybe what I did Today will make me quickly rich, and I’ll realize my dream of being able to buy a home for my family.  Of course Suze Orman was just telling us that things will never define us, and that we define ourselves.  (Authoress of Women and Money, who was on tv, this morning).  She’s probably right.  I’ll get back to you on that one too.
Goodnight wise and dear readers.  Wizen (Get wiser) in joy and Holiday Peace.
Yours Truely.
