Mad March

Friday, March 28th, 2008

I’m not really mad………Or am I?  Well, the month has been pretty crazy.  My Mother-in-Law has had health issues that required that my hubby be w/ her and his Dad in LA, in this past month, and my son acted out because he didn’t like Dada being away.  My hubby got home to find my son resisting taking a bath, and toys strewn all over the house, but he was only interested in seeing his son after about 4 days away, so they played for a bit, and he managed to convince our son, in five minutes what I’d spent almost an hour trying to get him to do.
Things are a bit calmer now………….Or not.  I dropped my son off at school, came home for a quick breakfast, then went to my belly dance class.  Afterward, I massaged my teacher for an hour, then rounded the corner, and ziggled through the parking lot to have lunch with my Mom before giving her a massage, and going to receive one myself.
This is the kind of craziness I really enjoy.  It’s the kind of day when the only way to keep up is simply to  not stop.  I’m beginning to think that this is the secret to daily living.  If I just keep on plugging away at my task list, eventually, I’ll come to a point where I feel good about how much I’ve gotten done, and then I can sit down for a while and have lunch or dinner.
It’s still not a good idea to look over my shoulder.  I’m quite sure that the date of my workshop is sneaking up on me.  I haven’t had a lot of time to go over my outline, but I’ll be seeing my coach, soon, and will go over it with her, again, this week.  If you haven’t heard or seen a lot about my workshop yet, it’s going to be on June 12 at 6:30p, and will be child friendly.  RSVPs are required, and if you call before May 1, you get the early bird discount of $5. off the reg. entrance fee, which is $25.  You’ll go home with an oil that you will blend yourself, and you will know how to use it, and what it will do for you.  I’m going to be taking the mystery out of how oils are categorized and blended so that you’ll have a general idea of what each type of oil does.
You’ll come to realize that essential oils can help you to balance your lifestyle by inspiring you, as well as alleviating symptoms of chronic conditions or acute ones that hold you back.  These oils can dispel inner demons, clear mental/emotional obstacles, calm skin disorders, and cure strep throat.  (I know that last from personal experience of late………TWICE).
I’ll teach you how to establish the safety of ingesting different oils, and how to disperse them into the air or into your bath water for best effect.
Once oils have helped to better health, or cleared the cobwebs from your brain, you will find it much easier to bring more joy into your life, with just a bit of conscious effort.  You’ll find it easier to acheive your success, or to have the energy to add what’s needed to your life for better balance.  I.E. if you work too hard, and don’t spend enough time with friends and family, you will find it easier to get a clear idea of how you can change your calendar to up the anti on your social activity.
I’m also going to make this workshop a sort of forum, for those who would like to share ideas on how to bring more of that balance into their lives, so that they end up feeling successful in their chosen field, without sacrificing their health or happiness.
This is difficult for a lot of us.  I don’t make as much time for exercise as I should, and someone I care about would be happier if he weren’t sacrificing a social life for the sake of keeping his family afloat.  My workshop then will touch on this as well.  If you’ve been reading my blogs for a while, you’ll note that I’m harping again, on one of my favorite topics.  Balance is everything, and should be made routine.
Come to my workshop on June 12 and learn how.  Maybe it’ll help you not to go so mad, next March, when all the folks around us are talking about March Madness.  Maybe it’ll help someone to be a more relaxed and therefore more patient parent when their spouse has to go on a business trip or be away for a few days.  Maybe it’ll help parents who are single parent all the time, to realize that they really can make time for themselves without having to feel guilty.
In closing, I wish you all good success and only happy madness, as Mad March comes to an end.
