Barter_lumans, You, and the Best Massage Deals EVER!
Sunday, March 15th, 2009Well, I haven’t really seen anyone else posting on this message board for a while. I hope that everyone is doing well. I have been fortunate enough to find 2 Chiropractors with whom to trade Chiropractics for massage, and a house cleaner, and sitter willing to do the same. Those of us who are willing to barter and trade their services are out there. You just need to be open about what you want. Here’s how I did it: I got a couple of referals from my accupuncturist, then I emailed those two Chiropractors, individually, and very politely told them where I’d gotten their names, and that I needed Chiropractics, and asked them if they’d be interested in a trade of services. I kept my email breif, polite and to the point, and heard back from both Chiropractors almost immediately that they’d be more than willing to trade with me. Keep in mind that no matter how “professional” the professional is, (s)he is a person too, and has needs of his/her own. Find a way to meet those needs, and you may have the basis of a great trading relationship. I’ve traded, in the past for a piece of jewelry that I liked, and fresh organic produce. I am always willing and even eager to consider another trade. I find that while legal tender feeds my bank account nicely, trading feeds my soul.

Now if I could just find someone to trade us their expertise in Home Schooling for some massage…………..
