Celiac and Me.

For those of you who are still learning about me, and for those of you who think you know everything about me, but probably don’t, I happen to have Celiac Disease, which is a fancy term for Gluten Intolerance.  Gluten is the protein found in most of your everyday baking flours.  I’ve passed this lovely inheritance on to my son who has now learned to ask:  Is there wheat in it, everytime anyone hands him anything that didn’t come out of his own lunch cooler.
What follows is an email from Jen Iscol on the next Celiac support group event, which will be taking place in Napa.  If you’re reading this, and think that you may know anyone to whom the info. would be useful, pls. feel free to copy and paste.  I did.
Hi North Bay Celiacs,

There will be a celiac support group meeting on Saturday, October 18th, at the Queen of the Valley Medical Center, located at 1000 Trancas St. in Napa.  The meeting will be at 10:00 a.m. in the conference room. Dr. Ali Vaziri, a Napa gastroenterologist, will be speaking. People from other counties are welcome to attend. You do not need to RSVP, but if you have questions please contact Mary Ann Lowe at madlowe@sbcglobal.net.

Thank you,

Jennifer Iscol
