Well Mad March is over, as is the latest Hafla, with another on the way. Google Tribal Fest if you’re interested. It’s going to be in San Jose.
We’re well into the sweltering heat of May, now. Unusual for May. Petaluma doesn’t usually swelter until well into Aug. or Sept. and we hit a record breaking 99F, Today, at 4pm.
I have a lot more parties in the works, to get things even hotter, so to speak. Actually it’s more like my parties will keep you cool, and teach you how to keep cool. Ladies will get pampered on the 22nd of this month, as Kathy Lee leads us through facials; My workshop, on June 12 will open our eyes to alternative therapies with an Eastern flavor, and on the 28th of June, I’ll give another house party where we can all learn a bit about the travel industry, and fuel our dreams a bit by picnicing out of tupperware and maybe even make it a bit romantic with some PartyLite candles. (A few visial aids can only help us make our dreams of travel to far away places more vivid).
When you come to one of my house parties, be sure to ask about my current massage specials, and workshops. Discounts will be available for the asking.
I’ll also be beginning a sort of running blog, on my family’s geocaching experiences. We’re just learning about geocaching, now. I’ve just learned what it means, and that it’s a new and improved approach to hiking. It gives you something to find, at the end of your hike. And be sure to get bit by the “Travel Bug”, if you’re coming along. That’s a sort of bar coded thing that gets picked up at one point and and dropped off at another by passing geocachers, and along the way, it’s progress through the world is tracked, by the person that bought it, so that they could vicariously travel along with it, via web cam.
I may have to buy one, myself!

If you go to the navigation bar, near the bottom left of my homepage, and click on “email”, that will give you my e-add, and I’m always glad to hear from members of my community or anyone who takes a real interest in something that I’ve written here, or on the bulletin board of one of the organizations to which I belong: Connections, Parent Pack, Petaluma Mothers Club- unfortunately I only get to be an honorary member, now, (of PMC) as my son is 5, and the club really is meant to reach out to help expectant moms, and moms of kids under 5. I’m also newly a member of ToastMasters.
I can highly recommend this form of “clubbing”. (Belonging to more than one club). I have learned invaluable lessons of life from the other members of each club/organization. My fellow club members have supported me with advice, mentored me, and tolerated my occassional e-faux pas.
I am hoping that inviting people into my home for workshops, and home parties, and into my active lifestyle, I will be repaying all of Petaluma, by making my community healthier
Such is my new mission in life.
