Little Nothings

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

I hope that you’re all planning something very romantic for Valentines Day.  I also hope that you’ve been religiously reading these blogs and checking out my links, once in a while.  These days, when we’ve all got the Winter Woes, of opportunistic viruses, and all the little stresses that go with having to go on with life, anyway, it’s even more important to continue to work at being joyful.
Being joyful, doesn’t just happen, and those of you who have read my previous blogs have already picked up on the fact that I believe that we’re meant to work at happiness.  We have to create our happiness, by creating our reality, such that we can enjoy it.  We have to break out of the belief system of our elders, in order to see that it really is possible to have work that you love.
Not only is it possible, but it’s an admirable way of life, to be doing work that you love.  Even so, it’s good to remember:
Work won’t love you back.
I’m not really going to get on that soap box, and preach to you, that we should all be liking our work, and loving our families, because that’s a no brainer.
I’m also not going to try to use this blog space to sell you my oils which can help you to be more joyful, or to release pent up emotion.
I’m also not going to try to sell you on my oil of the month club opportunity, which at this point, is still too new to have a registration fee, so you may want to consider getting in on it, now.  (Notice the reverse psychology)?
What I am going to do, is know that I’ve reminded you to research humorous websites, in your spare time, so that you can practice laughing.  Laughing takes some skill.  It takes some flexibility to be able to laugh at little nothings or very silly happenings or jokes.  It takes a bit of easy going nature, and a lot of wisdom, which you have, because it’s that thing that comes with experience, and if you can read this, than you’ve had experience in learning to read, and in the studies that go along with it.  You’ve also gained vicarious experiences from the books that you’ve read, this far in life.
I’m going on a bit, but sometimes it helps to remember all the little nothings that went into making us who we are, and all the little nothings that we’ve accomplished, because an accomplishment, no matter how small is still an accomplishment, and lots of little accomplishments go a long way toward making the big ones easier.
I have always praised my son’s small accomplishments, because it makes him feel accomplished, and that makes him want to go on to the next challenge.
Keep in mind what I just said, about accomplishment.  It’s a life lesson in and of itself.
Happy Valentine’s Day, a bit in advance, Dear Readers.
Sue.
