Healthful Stuff

Thursday, November 9th, 2006

I wanted to share some more great sites, and organizations, and resources, w/ everyone.  This is not the blog to read, if you’re looking for tips on how to live your life, or morals by which to live.  There is no story line, here.
This blog will give you some great places to start looking for things to do, places to go,  and people to see, (for health related, and other reasons).
Let’s start w/ an organization, that’s close to my heart, and my home: The Petaluma Mothers Club.   They have their own newsletter, that you can read, in print or online.  It’s called:  The Nurturer.
Their website, also has a resource listing, w/ a lot of cool stuff, on it, and I understand that it will soon have a listing of members, and their own businesses.
Another organization of which I’m a member, is:  Connections.
(You’ve probably seen me blog about some of these organizations, before).
Connections is an organization of Women business owners.  They would love to have a new member, or potential new member, or even just a guest, at any time and they have a holiday party coming up, to which I’d love to invite a guest.  It’s on the 6th of Dec.  Give me a call, and I’ll see about inviting you.
Here’s the link:
http://www.connectionsca.com/
I’m about to become a member, or at least a customer, of another organization, that has found a green niche, in a polluted world.  They’re called: Melaluca……..The Wellness Co.  Their link is: www.melaluca.com
I’ve simply decided, that I’ve had enough of all the clorox outgassing, into my house, and enough of my hands being constantly chapped, and chaffed, from all the harsh cleaning chemicals that we all think that we have to use, round the house, on a daily basis, including in our dishwashers.
Think about it.  Your dishwasher liquid or powdered soap, is probably made up, at least partly of chlorine.  Chlorine, becomes a toxic gas, when it gets hot and wet, and that toxic gas is leaving a film on our dishes………..Ew.
Let me help you get started in a more healthful lifestyle.  Ask me about this company.  They also do skin sensible make ups, and personal hygene products, that are eco, and animal friendly, as well as vitamin supplements, and medicines, that are FDA approved.
Young Living is another way to go, if you want some sensible, natural, eco friendly, and tasty supplements.
Call me, and I’ll pass on your number, to my collegue who can tell you more.  Young Living is known for their high quality, and wide variety of essential oils.  There’s an oil for every purpose/symptom/scent preference.
I recently came across a site, called Eclectic Health, as well.  I hope that you’ll have a look at that site, any time that you have a need, for a practitioner, in the medical field or on the fringes of it.  They have a rather exculsive listing, of local practitioners.  They also have benefits, to give to those who become members, like lower insurance rates, and financial help, when it comes to getting your perscription drugs.
As to that, I forgot to mention that the Melaleuca Co has benefits, too.  A lot of chains have deals w/ the Melaleuca Co, like car dealerships, and Office Depot.  Sign up w/ them, and you can get member discounts at all sorts of shops, and get hundreds of dollars off when you go to buy a new car.
Now, have you been to Teatro Zinzanni, yet?  If this doesn’t seem to follow, here, it’s because it harkens back to a previous blog.  It was homework.  Remember?  ………………..
If you read that blog, and did the homework, you would also have seen the offer of an extra discount, when you mention that last blog.
You’ve got another chance at that offer, here.  Mention this one, and I’ll still give you that discount.  Or bring me a receipt from one of my friends, in one of the organizations, that I’ve mentioned, here, and I’ll give you the same discount.
Ciao, Readers!  If I forget to say it, later, have a super Thanksgiving- don’t bother pardonning your turkey.  Just eat it.  Trust me, it’s delicious.
Sue Hirsch, CMT.
