Along the Way
Doctors are a necessary part of our lives, and a good start to our journey toward better health, but they can’t cover ALL the bases. This is why Holism has become such a huge field. We all want to improve our health, happiness, and efficiency at work, among other things, and we don’t have to do it, alone.
We often hire people to clean our homes, teach/watch our kids, etc. Why shouldn’t our bodies and psychies get the same loving care?
Yesterday, I went to a Nutritional Consultant, in Santa Rosa, named Marina James-Galvin. She gave me a glucose drink, and checked my blood sugar, three times, at about 45 min. intervols, and checked my saliva and Urine, against a chart. From that, she was able to tell me a few things, that my General Practitioner hadn’t really thought to look for, yet. Now, I can share that information, w/ my GP, and give her a bigger picture, of my over-all health.
I highly recommend Marina James-Galvin, as an NC. She will give menu suggestions, reading material, and advice about vitamin supplements, that are tailored to meet your needs.
Health isn’t the only area in which we could all use some support. I could never get through half of what I need to do, each day, without knowing that there are people that can help me, when I get tired, or over-whelmed. We all have those days. On those days, even $100/h. just to get someone in to do dishes, and shift a load of laundry seems reasonable, especially if they’ll also bathe your child(ren), and tuck them in, while you enjoy a quiet dinner.
Knowing when to get a little more help is a strength, not a weakness. We can’t be good parents/carers/employees/bosses/whatever, if we’re exhausted or overwhelmed by the stresses of our everyday lives.
Be good to yourself, because you deserve it, and your family deserves it too. Ask for help, when you need a break. Feel free to call me for a recommendation, on a holistic health practitioner, or check out my partners, and the Eclectic Health website.
Yours Truely, Sue Hirsch, CMT.
